A "good business idea" is:
- Trait #1 - Something that matches your interest and skills together - something
you really enjoy doing and do well.
- Trait #2 - Something about which you know enough to be able to identify at least
"3 keys to success".
- Trait #3 - Something in which you are experienced in performing these keys to success
-- or can learn how to do so.
- Trait #4 - Something for which you can afford the start-up expenses without
having to pledge key assets (such as your house) to raise cash.
- Trait #5 - Something that promises a financial return at least four times what
you earn in a low-risk investment, such as a certificate of deposit.
- Trait #6 - Something you can either run by yourself the first year or with the use
of limited outside labor.
- Trait #7 - Something where you will enjoy the type of customers you will attract.
Not everyone, for example, likes the chit-chat of a retail store.
